IRAN , AN ANCIENT LAND ,TERRITORY OF ORIENT`S FABLES ,COMBINATION OF ANTIQUE & NEW, CULTURE & LOVE

   Iran is an ancient land whose history goes back to 8 millennia B.C. , with an area of 1648000 sq. kilometers , 28 provinces and ,in brief ,a land of four seasons in one season.

   Median tribe , after the leave of  the Greek,

Sumerian , Akadian and Babylonians ,founded the first kingdom in Iran .

   According to the writings of Herodot ,the Greek historian, in all over the world we were

called Arioi ,Arian (Iranian ) and the first name of our country was Aryana Vaejah .The

three Arian tribes had occupied some areas in

Iran and established feudal governments :

-         Medians in the west

-         Bacterians in the east

-         Persians in the south

The Silk Road passed Iran and the vestiges of many caravansaries are still existing on this road, some of which are being renovated and converted to hotels for tourists and even

some plan is being considered for the restoration of some parts of the Silk Road in order to enable the tourists to see the cultural-trading artery of the remote years .

UNESCO and WTO consider Iran as one of

the first countries from the  genuine history and culture points of view .The ancient things and coins are every year discovered in several points of Iran. The richness of archaeological findings in Amlash of Gilan and Sialk of Kashan are well illustrated in

archaeological books .

The attack of Arabs to Iran, the assault of the Greek and the war between Iran and other countries all have contributed in shaping the rich culture of this land.

According to the historical texts, a millennium B.C., Iran had its own script ;the cuneiform which are engraved in several epigraphs and seen at different monuments. We had the scripture of Dindabireh which could depict the sounds in the most precise way, they say even the call of birds could be written by that alphabet .

During the Sassanid dynasty, the prestige and power of Iran had been so exulted that seemed the civilized world of that epoch had only two superpowers of Iran

and Rome .

The official language of Iran is Persian, but there are several dialects and languages spoken in Iran such as ; Tabari, Gilaki, Azery, Kurdi, Lory, (some Arabic in the south  ) , Baluchi etc.

Iran is the homeland of the poets like Ferdowsi, Saadi, Hafez, Mowlana and Khayam. The homeland of scientists such as

Avicena, Farabi, Razi and Nassireddin- Toussi. The territory of Gnostics such as Bayazid-Bastami , Ghazali and Abusaeed-Abolkhair .
